“Cease Fire” is a drug prevention and intervention program for high school and college students designed to counter pro-tobacco influences and marijuana use. It uses Youth Advocates to educate other youth about the risks associated with smoking “blunts” (hollowed-out cigars packed with marijuana and other drugs) and using other drugs. “Cease Fire” also addresses the influence of popular youth cultural influences (music, videos, magazines, and movies) on increased use of drugs and tobacco.
